The Director General shall be responsible for managing and implementing MIPROMALO's general policy, under the supervision of the Board of Directors, to which he shall be accountable for managerial matters.

As such, he/she shall be responsible for :

• ensuring the technical, administrative and financial management;
• producing the annual activity programme ;
• preparing the proposed budget and performance report;
• producing the administrative account, as well as the Annual Performance Report;
• managing secretariat activities of  the Board of Directors, in which he shall participate in an advisory capacity;
• preparing the resolutions of the Board of Directors and their implementation;
• proposing a staff recruitment plan to the Board of Directors;
• recruiting staff in accordance with the recruitment plan approved by the Board of Directors;
• dismissing staff in accordance with the applicable regulations;
• recruiting and dismissing temporary, casual and seasonal staff;
• appointing staff, subject to the powers vested on the Board of Directors;
• managing movable and immovable, tangible and intangible assets, in accordance with the powers vested on the Board of Directors.

(2) The Director General shall represent the Mission in all legal and civil proceedings.

(3) The Board of Directors may also delegate some of its attributes to him.

(4) The Director General may also delegate some of his powers.

Appointed on 17 July 2017 by Decree of the President of the Republic Dr. Boubakar Likiby was officially installed in office on Wednesday 26 July 2017 at the MIPROMALO head office, by the Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation, Dr. Madeleine TCHUINTE.
